A retro neon sign states the aim at this new Hackney Brunch Hot Spot and restaurant: they're 'reinventing the local', apparently. It looks like a welcoming enough spot, and equal billing is given to food and drink, which sounds like a good start. The drinks list offers beers from Five Points and Camden breweries, alongside a selection of wines that appears interesting - many of them are from small producers and cooperatives, such as Garage Wine. The bar menu features cheese, charcuterie and snacks such as truffle popcorn. The main food menu offers small plates ranging from grilled broccoli with smoked tomato, hemp and London feta to mackerel escabeche with peppers and toasted pine nuts, braised lamb ribs with lemon and za'atar, and crispy pork belly with spiced apple chutney and wild garlic.
