The Making of Harry Potter
Fans of Harry, Ron and Hermione could barely contain their excitement when Warner Bros announced a new tour of the 150,000 square foot area where the blockbusters were filmed. Across two dedicated soundstages, familiar sights like the Great Hall, Gryffindor common room and Diagon Alley are unveiled, and there are iconic props on show, like Harry’s Nimbus 2000 and Hagrid’s motorcycle. Visitors can learn how creatures like the basilisk were brought to life with green screens, animatronics and life-sized models. Trains depart Euston (no platform 9 and 3/4, alas) for Watford, where special buses ferry visitors on to the venue.
