The Golden Hinde

The Tudor age is brought to life on board this full-sized reconstruction of Sir Francis Drake’s sixteenth-century galleon, used to help the explorer circumnavigate the globe. Self-guided tours are available, but it’s more fun to be led around by a crew in full Elizabethan costume. Particularly strong on family activities, the ship offers special events for youngsters aged six to twelve, including pirate days and sleepover sessions where children dress as Tudor sailors before bedding down on the Gun Deck.
