Royal Air Force Museum
The Royal Air Force museum tells the story of Britain’s famous RAF who performed so heroically during two world wars to defend the county. The museum was opened in 1972 and its collection of memorabilia, aircraft and other valuable exhibits has continued to grow year on year.
Visitors can marvel at the magnificent Lancaster Bomber which successfully completed 137 missions during its time in operation. You can learn about the Battle of Britain as seen from the air, and the many stories of the service men and women who have contributed and sacrificed so much to the growth and development of the RAF since its inception.
