Ranger’s House is home to the Wernher Collection of art, an extraordinary set of works that was amassed by Sir Julius Wernher between 1850 and 1912. The house itself is a beautifully designed Georgian villa located in Greenwich Park, only a short distance away from many other attractions in the parkland.
The collection encompasses a selection of dazzling jewellery and silver, precious porcelain and rare paintings the diamond magnate collected on his travels across the world. In total, there are over 700 pieces out on display, from Dutch Old Masters through to glorious Renaissance bronze and silver pieces that recall the splendour of medieval craftsmanship.
