London Sewing Machine Museum
The London Sewing Machine Museum is found in the Wimbledon Sewing Machine Company and charts the history of the sewing machine in the UK. Visitors can examine over 700 domestic and industrial sewing machines and its featured attraction is a machine from Queen Victoria given to her daughter as a wedding present.
Ray Ashton has lovingly gathered together this collection for enthusiasts eager to see the evolution of sewing machines through the ages. It is open on the first Saturday of every month and continues to attract interest from far and wide.
