London Bridge and London Tombs
This spooky attraction, located in the vaults and excavated tombs of London Bridge, tells the story of the Bridge and its environs. Visitors are led on a journey through the capital’s dark past by costumed actors, with CGI and animation helping to explain events like Queen Boudiccia’s battles with the Romans, The Great Fire of London, and the arrival of the Vikings. These gruesome tales are counterbalanced by the history of all the bridges that have stood on the site. (In 2012 an “audio-wand” was introduced so visitors can listen in their own language.) The accompanying London Tombs, included in the entry price, are a series of 14th century plague pits excavated at the same time as the attraction was being built.
