Jewish Community Centre
The Jewish Community Centre, or JW3 as it is referred to, was created by Dame Vivien Duffield, opening its doors in Finchley in 2013. Its philosophy is to encourage the Jewish community in London to engage in art and culture, which has made it the first centre of its kind in London. This is done through an ongoing roster of events, activities, classes and courses that offer a deep insight into Jewish life.
People from every walk of life are welcome to get involved to learn about the various strands of Jewish faiths that exist, to create a better understanding in the community as a whole. It includes everything from music, comedy and film (including an in-house cinema), through to food and drink, health and fitness and organising a series of day trips and walks in and around London.
