Islington Museum

The Islington Museum has been open since 2008 and tells the borough’s history through the ages, seen through its architectural development and by those who have lived there. Visitors will have the chance to see a whole host of rare artefacts including a bust of Lenin that was once positioned in Finsbury Town Hall but eventually removed due to it being constantly defaced.

There are a wide range of programmes on display throughout the year, including special workshops and events. From remembering figures of social and political importance who were born and active in the borough, through to celebrating the sporting achievements of establishments such as Arsenal football club, this is an intriguing journey through time.
