Fashion and Textile Museum

The Fashion and Textile Museum opened in 2003 and its dedication to showcasing evolving trends within contemporary fashion makes it the only museum of its kind in the UK. British designer Zandra Rhodes was responsible for opening the space and it also makes up part of the Newham College of Further Education.

Throughout the year the museum presents a range of exhibitions looking at fashion, textile and jewellery, alongside the extensive courses provided by the Academy. There are no permanent displays on show, which allows the museum to constantly evolve and offer cutting-edge exhibitions aimed at inspiring the next generation of fashion designers.
