Madame Tussauds has been in existence for over 150 years. Each figure takes about 4 months to make by one of the 20 in house sculptors.
Over 500 body measurements are taken and the final model is produced using amazingly real human hairs which are place into the head one at a time. This dedicated work results in a model that looks almost like the real life person they represent. Madame Tussauds moved to London after the French revolution and her own work is currently on display exclusively in the London museum. This includes some of the death masks she was forced to make during the period of the 'Reign of Terror' and the Guillotine blade that beheaded Marie Antoinette. Chamber of Horrors is always a big draw.
