London Dungeon

After almost 40 years at its Tooley Street HQ, this highly popular attraction, the London Dungeon, reopened in March 2013 at County Hall, home of the London Eye and Sealife Aquarium. The new dungeon occupies the vaults of the building, and features zippy new rides and special effects alongside 18 core shows that take visitors through 1,000 years of history. Henry VIII, voiced by Brian Blessed, presides over one of the new rides, which travels through time from Jack the Ripper’s London to the Black Death and Sweeney Todd’s barber shop. Actors in period dress, including new characters like gunpowder plotter Guy Fawkes, add to the thrills.
