18 Stafford Terrace

18 Stamford Terrace was the former home of Edward Linley, the illustrator for the satirical magazine Punch. The building was previously known as Linley Sambourne House, where the cartoonist lived with his family and this late-Victorian home has remained largely unchanged since he died in 1910. Since then the property has been handed down through the generations with many of the original interiors still in place.

Visitors will find a large archive filled with papers, diaries and letters, which almost gives a living, breathing picture of the house around them. Guided tours are available on select days, or if you prefer, you can pop in when the house has a more relaxed approach to take your own time and navigate around.
