The View from the Shard

Opened on 1 Februar 2013, The View from the Shard is a new rival to the London Eye, offering jaw-dropping views of the capital. The two-level deck is situated on floors 68 to 72 of The Shard, Renzo Piano’s ambitious glinting glass construction. It is almost twice as high as any other viewing point in London, and the highest vantage point in Western Europe. After ground-floor galleries showcasing London attractions, two high-speed lifts whisk visitors up to their destination in under a minute. The experience is gloriously soundtracked by the London Symphony Orchestra, while the ‘View’ proper offers a spectacular perspective over Tower Bridge and The Gherkin. Those who arrive on zero visibility days will be offered a free return visit.
