For a while it seemed as though the Millennium Dome could do no right, but since The O2 opened in 2007, the multi-entertainment centre has welcomed an endless stream of stars and blockbuster events. Beyond the 20,000-seat arena, home to sold-out residencies by the likes of Rihanna and Justin Bieber, the venue hosts several other popular attractions. The British Music Experience covers 60 years of British music history through famous outfits, lyrics and instruments from acts like The Beatles, David Bowie and the Spice Girls. Head up to the roof, and Up at The O2 offers an exhilarating 90-minute walk along a platform suspended between the building’s masts, reminiscent of a Bond movie. The views are spectacular, but it’s not for the faint of heart.
