Saatchi Gallery

Want to know what’s going on in the world of contemporary art? Charles Saatchi has made a career of anticipating the zeitgeist, from founding the world’s largest ad agency to launching the Young British Artists – or YBAs – in the 1990s, and unleashing Damien Hirst’s sharks, Tracey Emin’s beds and Gavin Turk’s Sid Vicious on the world. These days he’s more interested in art from China, India and the Middle East, although in 2011 he mounted another group show attempting to recreate the famous YBA’s ‘Sensation’.
