The Wallace Restaurant is located within the beautiful Wallace Collection gallery on Manchester Square, considered to be one of the best collections of fine arts including paintings, porcelain and furnishings in the UK. We're lucky to have a space that combines al fresco dining in a gorgeous setting, dotted with trees and sculptures and flooded with natural light, yet is sheltered from both the elements and the hurly burly of the West End — the best of both worlds. Our restaurant combines classic French brasserie dining with a serene, out of town ambience that lends itself to leisurely lunches and afternoon teas. Kick off with a classic terrine de foie gras or carpaccio of hand dived scallops, before sole meunière with baby spinach or roast turbot. Finish with some freshly made Madeleines with Armagnac, or choose from our selection of French cheeses, from Morbier and Comté through to the pungent delights of a ripe Epoisses. Our vegetarian menu was voted the best in London by London's Evening Standard, praised for being "a great restaurant to take the special herbivore in your life to". We're open for breakfast (a very civilised and sedate way to start your day) serving up Eggs Benedict and Royale, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, crêpes, and croissants served with Peyton and Byrne jams and marmalades. Our Afternoon Tea features a classic Cornish Cream Tea, with a selection of finger sandwiches, homemade scones and a selection of cakes — treat yourself to a glass of Champagne to Kir Royale. If nobody's watching, have another. That's what decadent lunches tucked away from the crowds should be all about.
